In 1979 Howard Bautsch bought House of Doors, an established company for which he worked, and today it is one of the largest garage door companies in the New Orleans area, occupying an office/warehouse in the Elmwood Industrial Park.
House of Doors sells, installs and services garage doors, garage door openers, commercial and industrial roll-up and overhead doors, folding accordion doors, operable walls for schools, hotels and offices, hollow metal doors and frames, and electric gate openers.
